Purple Beardtongue presents show-stopping spikes of loosely spaced flowers. The large violet to deep purple tubular flowers grace erect stems. Purple Beardtongue flowers bloom in late spring and are larger than other penstemon flowers. Grows easily in full sun with average to dry well-drained soil. Great in wildflower meadows and rock outcrops.
