Pennisetum 'Princess' is an exotic grass from South America. It is hardy to zone 8 but looks spectacular when planted as an accent or container plant in Northern gardens. The saber-shaped leaves emerge narrow, dappled green and purple and become progressively more purple and wider as they mature. 'Princess' is a vigorous grower. Its deep burgundy purple foliage and noble structural form make it a great choice for formal or informal landscapes.
