Syneilesis aconitifolia

Syneilesis aconitifolia (Shredded Umbrella Plant)

Shredded Umbrella Plant

Shredded Umbrella Plant is a rare woodland species, native to the dry hillsides of Japan and Korea. In early spring, the white wooly leaves push through the ground, like may apples. The fascinating foliage flattens out atop 18” stems by mid-spring. As the rhizomes slowly spread, it will form a colony of plants about 2’ wide in 5 years. The flowers are insignificant, but the unique foliage is sure to grab attention.
